20 Years of Experience

Thze mastermind of HDX Studios is Matias Oepen, a sound engineer producer and musician with over 20 years of experience.

Starting at a young age as the son of pianist and musicteacher, music played a big role from early on, and led to Matias picking up piano as a kid. As a teen he started to play bass in multiple bands, and discover his interest in the technical side of music production.

After being a intern in one of Hannover top studios and working at his own small studio, Matias moved to Liverpool to study sound engineering at the famous Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), where he would receive his bachelor from Paul McCartney in person.

While studying in Liverpool he worked at multiple Studios from Berlin all the way to Jakarta, just to move to Jakarta after graduating, to work with big Names like Padi, Glenn Fredley and many more.

For his family and kids Matias moved back to Hannover, where he started a new venue to help the Hannover music scene in which he also was active as a DJ.
